It's HOT!

Today is Sunday, June 13. It is HOT outside. After this hot weekend I have been inside soaking up the AC all day!!! Yesterday we went to a couple of community events. Mom and Dad took Makhi to the farmers market they actually landed a "hepitopter" downtown and Makhi thought that was the best thing EVER. He just had to sit in it!!!

After this we went to the community day at the church. He rode in the barrels that were being pulled behind the lawn mower. He did not want to get off the "Train"

It is Saturday May 22, 2010. Makenzie is asleep and Makhi is mowing with Poppy! It sure is quiet ;) I forgot what it sounds like!!

EXHAUSTED after Campaigning for Papo!!

Yesterday I took both of my 'babies to the doctor. Makhi has had a runny nose and cough and now Makenzie has the same thing. The doctor said it was seasonal. Makenzie is cutting 2 teeth so she has had all of the symptoms of teething!!

Nick has really been painting lately, I am so glad he is finally using all of his talent! I love this painting and all of the bright colors!

May 12th

This past weekend we went to Jamestown, KY to Nick's parents house! We didn't get to stay very long because of course I had to work!! It was great to see the family, and we will hopefully make a trip to Florida to see the rest of the family soon!!!

I received the most wonderful mothers day gift yesterday and I was completely shocked! Nicholas painted a picture of flowers and used Makenzie and Makhi's finger and toe prints for the flower petals. It is so special I have it hanging in my office so I can look at it every day!

Work... I feel as if that is all I do!! This morning my wonderful husband cooked breakfast, I would say for me but he really cooked it for himself :) I did get to enjoy some before work!! He is such a wonderful man, husband and father! I love him so much and I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. I could not ask for a better family! I must get off of here and get some work done but I am going to post some pictures of the kids!!

New Blog...

Well I have never "blogged" before but I thought I would start up a blog so the family could keep up with all of us!! We have had an interesting past 6 weeks, trying to keep everyone healthy!

On March 6, 2010 Nick became ill and we thought he had a "bug." After a week of being extremely sick he was admitted to the hospital. They soon found that he had a ruptured appendix. He had emergency surgery on Saturday March 13th to clean everything out. Following the surgery I met with the surgeon who informed me that we were "lucky" that Nicholas even survived, I later found that we were truly blessed . Dr. Jernigan told me that his insides were so infected that he could barely tell what he was looking at. He had gangrene in his intestines and he said it had a smell of old meat. We were grateful that Dr. Jernigan worked so hard to get everything back in. Nicholas was saved during all of this and we were married on March 14. Sometimes it takes something serious to make you realize how special family really is! Nick has since made a full recovery and is almost "back to normal!"

April 15, 2010 our baby girl was hospitalized at LeBonheur. We had quite a scare but they determined it was just a severe bladder and kidney infection. Again God blessed us.

I think that has gotten everyone "caught up" on what has been going on in our lives, hopefully I can keep up with this!!!
